Steve and Cara

Names: Steve and Cara

Profession: We are both Army Veterans and Cara is still working with the Department of the Army as a Civilian. Steve is a stay at home Dad to our six-year-old and furthering his education in Network Infrastructure.

Family: Steve and I have been married for 15 years in May. We have a son through adoption. Dominic came to us when he was 8 months old. HE is an active, vibrant kiddo, who has been wanting a brother or sister since he was 3 years old (his buddies at school both had new little sisters at the time).

We have a lot of close family and friends on both sides, all of which are ecstatic at the thought of a new little one, to love and spoil.

Faith: Christian

Pets: We have 2 dogs, Gracey (Pickle), Snoopy (bubba) and a cat named Sheldon who responds to Kitty Meow.

Family Interests: Steve and I are active in the DAV and volunteer when we are needed, Dominic likes to help too. We enjoy game nights in our home with friends and family. Friday nights are usually pizza and movies snuggled on the couch! We also like to craft together (Steve is usually better at them than me). Finally, we are always up for an adventure! We love checking out new places, parks, museums, and events.

Individual Interests: Steve enjoys gaming and researching the game for better play, He actually plays online with his father and cousins. He also enjoys gardening, keeping bees, and doing yard work. Still a kid at heart he loves playing Legos with Dominic.

I love spending time with my family, my extended family and friends. I enjoy stained glass making party and travel planning, and almost anything outdoors. My favorite part of every day is dinner at the table, we go over the day and make sure to ask “what was your favorite part of today”.

Adoption Statement:

Hello! I’m sure you’ve read these words already, but that doesn’t make them any less sincere. Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and getting to know us a little bit better. Please know that regardless of your decision we only wish for the best for you and for you to have a happy bright future.

I don’t know the circumstance that has brought you to this point, but I can’t imagine this is an easy decision. For what it is worth, I think your decision is a courageous one. Please be assured should you choose us to parent your child we will support the type of relationship you desire. We have a very open and close relationship with our son’s birth mom, and they have a very special bond.

Our families are no strangers to adoption, my father was adopted, and Steve was adopted by his father when he was 4 years old. Adoption has always been an option for us to grow our family as we’ve always known we’ve wanted children and I cannot carry a child.

We are very hopeful and excited by the prospect of growing our family once more and cannot wait for the chance to love another little unconditionally.

Again, thank you for taking the time to view our profile.

With Love,

Steve and Cara
